We shouldn't lose our veterans and heroes when we change ships. At least not down to 50% exp...Perhaps bring them down a level...Hero goes to veteran, veteran loses status, but remains at 100% exp.

I always thought you should keep them.

Perhaps, Hero potion is something that could be sold under the become an admiral page so then it could help support the game.

I like that idea, but it should be pricey, otherwise everyone will use it, and being a hero is meaningless

I voted "Yay" on the initial proposal. I think Captain Chaos' idea gets away from that concept. Perhaps start another thread for suggesting that hero potion should be a purchase item.

how about the hero and vet go down proportionately.
100% goes to 50%
vets go to 60%
Heroes to 70%

I'm with Akula. I don't think you should lose them at all; you're not getting rid of your crew, just the boat and you'll be adding new crew.

If you think about it though, it's a huge change switching to a new ship and for the first bit the crew would have to be "relearning" the ship. Eman's suggestion or something similar makes sense to me since Veteran's and Hero's would presumable be able to adapt to new ships faster.

I'm busting level 110 now. I've had the same ship since day 2 of the round and I still don't have a crew full of heroes and veterans, even though all have been sitting at 100% for several weeks now. I'm going to change ships soon, and everyone starts from nearly scratch.

If this is a round change, I want to Thank You Hagar for changing the Veteran status change. My crew now automatically attains Veteran Status upon reaching 100%.
