Changing Winds

I would like to suggest the Ironship prize be awarded at the mid-round rather than at the end of the round.
No hero potion.

This would make it so all pirates would want the ship. At the end of the round, many times a high level Pirate wins and it’s of no use and it’s given away.

Mid-round without the hero potion would require all pirates to work building the crews and buying the cannons over time.

Since the ports are unlocked when a certain number of pirates reach the same level to advance, this would prevent the ones in the Ironsides from just sailing off alone to the high ports to clear them.

I think this could bring more excitement back into the monthly ship drawing and to that wonderful ship. It is very powerful, so there is a advantage but it’s that way on all quest ships. By mid-round, high level pirates could still outfit ships to fight and this would bring a serious boost to a lower level Pirate winning.

If the advantage is too one sided, maybe consider locking it so it can not be sold, given away or traded. I don’t know, just a early thought and open on ideas.
