Unpopular opinion, but I feel like the unwritten rule of not attacking pirates online is hypocritical for a pirate game. If not attacking online pirates was Hagar's intent, why not make the brethren mandatory for everyone?

It may be interesting to have an ATTACK Brethren Code where you have an icon that claims that you welcome online attacks and you can attack others in the same brethren online. Obviously the harrassment rule would still apply so we can't overdo it, but it would allow some of us to level up quicker/easier.
