Changing Winds

This would probably be too much work, but it would be interesting if you added a hurricane to the game next round.

I was watching the weather forecast for Hurricane Beryl, and it talked about how it would hit Bridgetown. I thought about posting and telling everyone to get out. That made me think it would be interesting if hurricanes were added to the game. Maybe even making them mirror real-time so frequency is realistic.

Maybe this shuts down the ports for a day or two and no one can come into port. But it would increase loot dropped after as if the hurricane "stirred" up.

This could also open the doors for a new quest item or two.

Maybe when the hurricane is over, there will be 'loot' scattered on the beach (islands) from ships that have ran aground during the storm.

loot scattered on the islands would make it more fun to explore the islands, finding an abandoned spanih frigate.

I agree with goose, plus it could bring more island exploration to the game, which could help balance exploring between high and lower-level players a bit.

New crew member, a Diver

Winds are pretty strong here on the bay. Some rain, mostly just in bands. Tide is pushed up. I noticed a section of my back fence is down again. Been fighting that section for years...every storm knocks it down. Lights have flickered a few times but power still flowing. Hope everyone in the effected area is hunkered down and ready to ride this out. We know the drill here
